In this large world of Internet and search engines, sometimes you become the victim of Google penalization. Reason could be anything but we cant find the exact reason. if we keep few point is in our mind then we can save our website by Google Penalization. There is always a question asked by all webmasters that how to check whether your website is being penalized by Google or not?
Here are few points to let you verify that your website is suffered by Google Penalization or not.
Keyword Rankings:
You were top on result for some of your keywords and you see a major and sudden drop in all those keywords. This indicates that your website is probably being penalized by Google because your Google SERP (Search Engine Result pages) is going very down.
Number of Page Index:
Large numbers of pages from your website were there in Google before when check using site:www.your-website.com and now when you use site:Google command, you are seeing very few pages. Most of your pages are no more in Google index. This major de-index also indicate that your website is in trouble.
Page Value Loss:
If you see that your pages are there in Google when you use site:Google command. Next thing to check is the value of these pages. Even if these pages are there in Google index. They are not appearing in search results or appearing very last in results when you give complete post title + your website name.
For ex. SEO Articles + domain-name.com, where “SEO Articles” is the keyword you are searching for and “domain-name.com” is the name of your website.
Google Cache:
Google Cache is another way to find if your website is being penalized by Google or not. Normally Google put every website on internet to its cache and this cache updates depend on many factor related to a website.
If you check your website with cache:www.your-website.com in Google and find the date of last cached is too old, it means Google is not showing interest in your website anymore. Most likely it can be a Google penalization.
Complete De-index:
This is the simplest way to check for Google penalization. When your site is completely de-indexed by Google and it’s no more in Google either with info:www.your-website.com or with site:www.your-website.com.
Number of Backlinks:
Few days back, when you checked your website, Google was showing thousands of back-links of your website and now link:www.your-website.com (link: is a Google Command) is showing a huge drop in number of back-links. If this is the case, then it’s the possibility of Google penalization.
Index Time:
Index time is another factor by which you can check for penalization. Before penalization, new content from your website were getting indexed in days and now they are taking a couple of weeks to get indexed. This is a clear sign of Google penalization or Google is getting in trouble indexing your website.
Google Page Rank:
Google Page-Rank is a value attached to your website. You may see a drop in your Page-Rank value if Google has penalized you for any reason. Before few days, if your Page-Rank value was say 5 and now it’s become 0. It’s very obvious that Google has penalized your website.
Wait for Google Mail:
Google always send mail when it finds something harmful in your website in Google webmaster account. Google will de-index all those pages which are having problem and will inform you to fix the problem. Once you fix the problem, you can easily come back in Google search index.
if you want to share some other point regarding Google Penalization, please discuss. I welcome your suggestions.

While it’s great to have a web site optimized and performing well in the engines, you need to build out content on a consistent basis. Managing growth without upsetting your existing SEO efforts can often be a challenge. With these challenges in mind, here are my top ten tips for building site content while focusing on SEO opportunities.
Tip 1 — Identify New Keyword Markets
If you are pleased with how your existing content is performing, you need to tap popular databases and see what other markets exist. Using tools like Google adwords keyword tool, overture, WordTracker and Keyword Discovery, you can quickly locate new areas relative to your industry or niche that also have a search history associated with them.
Tip 2 — Exploring Analytics
SEO is as much about delivering targeted traffic as it is about rankings, right? If you’re with me on that, start checking your analytics. In particular, explore site paths and conversions relative to referring search phrases. Many times you will find that what you think are your money terms, are actually just pushing in unproductive traffic.
The information available in your analytics package can make or break everything for you. Building new content is always a great idea; When you go about it blindly, your efforts are often un-concentrated. If you take the time to identify visitor trends and habits on a keyword level though — you can then focus on building new content that puts more visitors to work for your business goals.
Tip 3 — Maintain Your Approach
Have you ever been browsing a company’s web site reading up on various services, when suddenly you’re slapped in the face by content that just doesn’t “fit”?
As more content is written, it becomes critical for the tone and approach of your writing to be consistent. Managing this in groups can be difficult at best, so if your content is scaled in this manner — consider having one consistent editor.
Tip 4 — Write for People, not Engines
I hate that this tip sounds like something out of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines… But, it’s true. Imagine if I decided to write this article of Quick Tips for Building SEO Content methods in such a manner that you were repeatedly hit by keyword saturation levels that were through the roof.
Google LSI(Latent Semantic Indexing) December 22, 2006

Latent semantic indexing is just another piece of the algorithm, though many sites will significantly shift in rankings due to it. LSI or Latent semantic indexing allows a search engine to determine what a page is about outside of specifically matching search query text. LSI is a search engine Algorithm which is based on LSA or Latent semantic analysis. LSA is a technique in natural language processing, in particular in vectorial semantics.
LSA uses a term-document matrix which describes the occurrences of terms in documents; it is a sparse matrix whose rows correspond to documents and whose columns correspond to terms, typically stemmed words that appear in the documents or page. This patent contains very complex formulas describing the relationship between words. It explores data clustering, informational retrieval, document classification, natural language processing, polysemy, synonymy and more. In online web world, people hear about LSI for the first time and assume that it is a new thing that search engines are using but it was using already for the search engines. People did not know this matrix method for searching so now LSA is coming again in the form of LSI or Latent semantic indexing.
Many people have been noticing a large shuffle in search relevancy scores currently. Some of those well in the know attribute this to Latent Semantic Iindexing or LSI, which Google has been using for a while, but recently increased its weighting and Popularity.

Page Rank is a numeric value that represents “how important a page is on the web”. Page Rank is Google’s way of deciding importance of the page. It matters because it is one of the factors that determines ranking of a page in the search results. Page Rank is a link analysis algorithm which assigns a numerical measuring to each element of a hyperlinked set of documents, for the purpose of “measuring” its relavant importance within the set. The page rank of any web site depends on some factors. The factors are following:
1. Inbound links of the Page.
2. Outbound links of the page
3. Relavent Links
4. Link Structure of the web Page
5. Age of the website
6. Relavancy of internal pages
7. Anchor text which is used for link Building
8. High PR Link Exchange
and many more….
The Google Toolbar’s displays a green bar which displays a visited page’s PageRank as a whole number between 0 and 10. If any website or web page have 0 pr that means it does not have 0 pr besides it may be 0 to 0.99 but if it shows only round figures of the whole numbers. The Toolbar PageRank is republished about once every three months. Google has not disclosed the precise method for determining a Toolbar PageRank value. So last update of Google toolbar PR Update have come in last week of september and first week of october. Now we are waiting for Next PR Update. I think next PR update will come in
-
first week of January
about 9th of January.
Next PR(Page Rank) Update is coming on 9 th janauary
